Governance

Governance

Interim structure today — a stronger structure ahead.

Current interim governance structure

Executive Committee

  • Two representatives per chapter
  • One long-term member & president
  • One chairperson

Monthly governance meetings

  • Shared decision-making
  • Unified strategic direction

Project leadership model

  • Each major project led by one designated member
  • Full financial oversight
  • Annual progress report to the Executive Committee
  • Ensures clarity, accountability, and measurable outcomes

Strong governance structure — future

  • Broaden the structure with more subcommittees — financial, social media, marketing
  • Constitution for the International
  • Registration of the International overseas — a matter under consideration by the Executive Committee
  • The International's presence in Sri Lanka — a semi-independent organisation in Sri Lanka, or a branch in Sri Lanka — under consideration by the Executive Committee

Strengthen unity, engagement, volunteerism & networking

Recruit more members from all chapters to achieve different targets/goals:

Target 1

Propaganda / marketing about International.

Target 2

Financial accountability.

Target 3 — Transparency

Keep members up to date with all JMFOA-I activities (decision-making, project selection & progress).
